The Zutons

The Zutons are a five piece band from Liverpool, made up of Dave McCabe (Lead vocals & rhythm guitar) Boyan Chowdhury (Vocals & lead guitar) Russell Pritchard (Bass guitar) Sean Payne (Drummer) and Abi Harding (Alto saxophone)

Influenced by the likes of Talking Heads, Hank Williams and Neil Young, the band are renowned for their high-energy performances and move fluently around styles such as R&B and Mexican vibe.

The Zutons share the same record label (Deltasonic) as their Merseyside neighbours The Coral and McCabe actually used to perform acoustic sets with Coral’s James Skelly. Drummer Sean Payne acted as stand-in for the Coral at their V2002 show.

Ian Broudie of Lightening Seeds fame produced their promising debut EP “Devils Deal” which sold out its 1000 copies in less than a week and gained the group impressive write-ups in The Guardian and the NME.
