The Futureheads

The Futureheads began in 1999 when Barry Hyde (Guitars, Vocals) and Peter Brewis (Drums, Vocals) met David Craig (Bass, Vocals) and Ross Millard (Guitars, Vocals) at a youth Project in the back streets of Sunderland.

Produced by Gang Of Four’s Andy Gill The Futureheads are a distinctly British post-punk band influenced by the likes of The Slits, Wire and early Talking Heads.

They combine sharp choruses and stuttering beats as demonstrated on their EP “1-2-3-NUL” released in March 2003 on the Fantastic Plastic label.

The Futureheads have been touted as a band to watch by radio DJ John Peel.
